Zaid is a Director in our Employment and Labour Law practice. He specializes in both contentious and non-contentious matters, assisting international clients across various industries, including banking, retail, IT, petroleum, and hospitality. With expertise in large-scale restructuring, employment disputes, and drafting employment-related agreements, Zaid provides integrated solutions tailored to client needs.

Zaid’s experience focuses on all areas of employment and labour law which includes contentious and non-contentious matters. Zaid has assisted and advised large scale and international clients in banking, retail, IT, petroleum, hospitality, gaming, transport, health, international media, private security and the food and beverage industries just to mention a few.

Zaid has extensive experience in large scale restructuring of businesses and retrenchments, the sale of businesses as a going concern, multi-national companies seeking to establish businesses in Africa and employment disputes with senior executives.

Moreover, Zaid provides integrated employment solutions for clients from drafting of all employment related agreements (contracts of employment, independent contractor’s agreements, settlement agreements, voluntary separation agreements and collective agreements) to the enforcement of restraint of trade agreements. Zaid has drafted numerous disciplinary codes and procedures, human resources policies as well as provide risk and regulatory advice.

Zaid often chairs disciplinary inquiries involving senior employees which inquiries range from sexual assault to gross misconduct in the forms of bribery and corruption.

He commenced his career in 2020 as a candidate attorney at Norton Rose Fulbright and was later appointed as an associate in the firm’s employment law department.
